You may bring your own lunch, but if you don't want to bother, you can take a break off the water for lunch at the local marina or nearest restaurant. Talk with Steve about lunch when you book your trip.

Wiper fishing requires sturdy tackle in top working condition. Bait casting and spinning reels with an excellent drag system, spooled with 10- to 14-pound test monofilament line, will be adequate for battling powerful wipers. Feel free to bring your favorite rod and reel, if it's up to the task. Otherwise, Steve will be happy to provide the gear you need to enjoy your trip.

• You'll get a full day on the water, unless you want to call it quits earlier. Steve will make arrangements with you ahead of time for a starting time and meeting place in the morning.
• Steve practices catch-and-release on trophy fish to help preserve the fantastic fishing in the reservoirs he guides on. He keeps a digital camera in his boat to get pictures of his clients, but you are also encouraged to bring your own camera.
  If you do wish to keep some fish, you can take home the smaller fish to eat like Walleye between 15-22 inches, White Bass between 12-15 inches, Crappies between 10-15 inches, Channel Catfish between 2-5 pounds, and other smaller fish. We will release all wipers, unless they die or can't be released due to injury.
